They weren't here yesterday. Spore is a cluster of red-capped mushrooms drawn bold and full – gills fanned, stems crowded together, a few small ones pushing up at the edges. Quiet, patient, faintly poisonous. They don't ask for room. They just take it, overnight, while you sleep.
